What data shall be kept by the registered agent?
The list of information, which is to be kept by a registered agent in compliance with the law, may differ depending on the jurisdiction.
Thus, the BVI laws require that the agent shall be provided with the following data for each newly incorporated or already existing company:
1. Copy of the beneficiary’s passport;
2. Confirmation of the beneficiary’s address;
3. Bank reference letter;
4. Description of the activities the company conducts or is involved in.
The registered agent shall also keep copies of all resolutions related to the appointment/resignation of directors, issue/cancellation of share certificates, original consents of director to hold office and other documents reflecting the corporate structure.
